Gombe to Kekova

posted in: Kalkan, Turkey | 1

A few weeks ago I took a friend and fellow snapper to stay in Kalkan for a few days. We decided to go for a drive, leaving Kalkan on the Bezirgan Rd and heading across country through some stunning scenery to our first destination, the town of Gombe. After a bite to eat we then headed back into the scenery, this time heading south again finally ending down on the coast at my 2nd favourite place in the world, Kekova. It was fabulous driving country and the views breath taking, much more so than I could ever do justice to, landscapes are not my forté, but we had a great day in beautiful weather. Definitely worth the drive if you are in Kalkan and fancy some fresh mountain air for a few hours – just one word of advice though, the drops are steep and the hills a climbing challenge to most engines, make sure you have enough fuel on board! 😉

What beautiful photos. We’ve only seen Kekova from the Kalkan Regency’s motor cruiser on several occasions. Unfortunately since the loss of Exclusive Escapes the Regency no longer own that lovely boat. We’d love to return to Turkey 2016 being the first year in the past 11 we’ve got nothing booked.
